ABOUT
Angela Denae at home

Angela Denae is a personal stylist who works from the inside out: energy first, clothes second, so that getting dressed finally feels like coming home.

Angela built this studio from the experience of being seen through other people's labels and assumptions: as a Black woman, energetically fluid, and a soul who's long past letting anyone's labels do the seeing for her.

Here, you arrive however you arrive. No label is required at this door... every expression, every gender, every closet is seen clearly here, and the only person who can define that is you. Styling here affirms who you are now, releases who you were, and never holds you to who society expects.

She spent fifteen years dressing New York... on shop floors and in showrooms, behind brands and beside clients... before bringing that eye home to Richmond, Virginia, where she partners with individuals, communities, and brands who understand that style is never really about the clothes.

Her path runs through the industry's front rooms: store director roles with contemporary brands ANINE BING and HATCH, the brand director seat at HARBISON... where she learned to see a whole identity at once, every unique life experience that makes someone who they are, and to build the wardrobe that anchors them in it... and team leadership at the front of the fashion-tech wave, directing styling and clienteling at Keaton Row, Garmentier, and Endear. The love of curated experience runs through all of it... a top-booked Airbnb Experience guiding visitors and locals through Brooklyn's vintage shops, and in-store events, from sound baths to portrait illustration, that turned her shop floors into rooms people remember. Most recently, she joined the stage at FIT as a panelist for THREADS: A History and Future of Queer Fashion, presented with dapperQ and The American LGBTQ+ Museum.

OUR PRACTICE

Every room the industry gave Angela... the shop floor, the showroom, the panel stage... now works for the person in front of her. What she has lived is what you receive.

HOW WE WORK

Your closet begins with clarifying the particular: who you are today, the season you're in, the life your clothes are meant to hold. You are your own answer, never a trend to be applied... so we clear what belongs to old seasons, remember who you are now, and build a wardrobe that belongs to you and no one else.
